FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the your style of photography?
The style of my photography is contemporary. It is true that anyone with a camera can record a moment in time. However, not everyone possesses the professional photography skills to adequately capture your most valuable memories. The style of my photography incorporates editorial characteristics with innovative techniques to capture the entire story of your wedding day.
Do you travel for photography or you only shoot in Philadelphia?
Of course! I love to travel and capture the love in different parts of the world. Just let us know more about your wedding and destination and we will tailor a package according to your needs.
Can we give you a list of photos that we would like to take, for example some inspirational Pinterest photos that we have seen?
While I am not against this idea, I will say that would not prefer it. I believe that every wedding is, and should be, unique. Trying to recreate scenarios and poses from someone else’s work will not only limit the creativity but will prevent us from showing the real moments between you and your partner that day. Let us focus on creating new inspirational photos of you and your partner for others to share and try to recreate!
Do you work alone or you bring someone with you, like an assistant or second shooter?
This depends on the size of the wedding and the amount of time that I will be working. I prefer to bring an assistant or a second shooter to help me with the gear, lightning and managing formal family group photos.
How do we get the images, and are they all edited prior to when we first see them?
The images will be delivered to you after they have all been individually edited. These images will include all of the photos that were taken on your wedding day, with the exclusion only those that were unusable. I will also select a few of my favorites to bring to your attention.
How long does it take for us to get the images?
Images will be placed in the online portfolio section of my website, visible to only you and those who you choose to share your link with. These images will be available for you approximately six to seven seeks following the day of the wedding. All printed images and/or digital files will be available for you within eight to nine weeks after the event. From here, we work together to choose the photos you would like to feature in your album. Depending on your timeline in choosing there final images, the album can be ready as early as eleven weeks from the day of your wedding.
How many images will we get?
There are many factors that play a key role in determining the number of images you will receive such as the size of the wedding, the hours of coverage, and the type of event. The minimum number of images that will be delivered is 400 images, although, more often than not, that number is much higher.
Do you come to the rehearsal dinner?
Traditionally, I do not attend your rehearsal dinner. If you would like me to cover the rehearsal and add it to your collection, we can do so as per your request.
Do you do engagement sessions?
Yes, I do. In fact, I encourage hiring the same photographer for both events. This gives me a chance to get to know you as a couple prior to your wedding day.
Do you have insurance?
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use high end, professional photography equipment by Canon.
My venue needs a certificate of insurance. Can you provide it?
Yes. However, it is imperative that you notify me that you will need this information at least three months prior to the day of your wedding, as it may take time for our insurance company to process the information to provide this document.
How long have you been doing photography?
I have been doing photography since 2005.
Can you hold the date for me?
Bookings are done on a first come, first serve basis. The best way to ensure your date will be reserved is to sign the contract and submit the required retainer fee.
How does your payment work like?
If you are interested in me as the photographer for your wedding, I ask that you sign the contract that I have provided. At this time, a down payment of 50% is due to officially book the day of your wedding. The remainder of the payment is then submitted a week before the day of the wedding.
In the event that I would have to cancel my wedding, do I get my retainer fee back?
Unfortunately no, all retainers are non-refundable. The retainer is in place as a guarantee to you that the date booked is exclusively yours. This means that very often we do turn down other commissions for that date.
What if the photographer gets very sick or something tragic happens to prevent him from attending that day?
In case of a catastrophic event that would prevent the photographer from attending your wedding, we will ensure that a same professional level of photographer will be in the place of me to photograph your wedding that day representing the same quality provided from Morina Photography.
