Gillian & Brett’s Coastal Wedding at Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia

Gillian and Brett’s wedding day at Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia had such an easy, coastal feeling from the start. Their whole celebration took place in one beautiful location along the water in Essington, just outside Philadelphia, which gave the day a relaxed flow and plenty of room for meaningful portraits, family moments, and celebration.

The day was rainy, but it honestly fit the mood in a quiet, romantic way. We used the yacht club interiors for portraits, worked with the windows, bookshelves, nautical details, and old club character, then stepped outside later for waterfront images with the boats, the river, and the soft evening sky behind them.

What stood out most was how comfortable Gillian and Brett felt together. Their wedding had that rare mix of calm, goofy, romantic, and joyful. Nothing felt forced. It was just two people who clearly feel at home with each other, surrounded by the people who love them most.

Gillian and Brett, thank you for trusting us to document such a beautiful day. This one had heart, coastal charm, and all the good rainy wedding day magic.

About Gillian & Brett’s Wedding Day

Gillian and Brett got ready at Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia, with both sides of the wedding party in separate spaces upstairs. That gave the morning a smooth and relaxed feel, without extra travel or rushing between locations.

Gillian’s details included her wedding dress, shoes, invitations, rings, her Nana’s hairbrush and hand held mirror, and her Grammy’s wedding band. Those personal pieces brought a meaningful family connection into the morning and made the getting ready portion of the day feel even more special.

They shared a first look before the ceremony, which was one of the most important moments Gillian was looking forward to. With the rain outside, we leaned into the character of the yacht club and created portraits indoors using the nautical details, soft window light, and quiet corners of the building.

Their ceremony took place at Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia under the tent, surrounded by family and friends. The waterfront setting, the soft weather, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere made the ceremony feel intimate and personal.

After the ceremony, we continued portraits around the property, including along the water, near the boats, and in front of the building. The weather gave everything a soft, romantic feeling, and the evening portraits near the river had a beautiful calmness to them.

Their reception followed under the tent with dinner, dancing, cake by The Master’s Baker, music by Schaffer Sound Productions, and a celebration that felt warm, fun, and completely true to them. The sky blue wedding color fit perfectly with the coastal setting and gave the day a light, classic feel.

For couples planning a similar waterfront wedding day, Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia is a great choice if you want everything in one place. Getting ready, ceremony, portraits, cocktail hour, and reception can all happen on site, which keeps the day simple and gives you more time to actually enjoy it.
